Mr. Overhoff & Mr. Painter collaborating on The Presidio Tunnel Tops designs.
For over 20 years from the late 80’s into the early 2000’s, Michael Painter, Landscape Architect and and Urban Designer, FASLA, President of MPA Design along with Jacques Overhoff, Architectural Planner, Environmental Designer and Creative Director for Tunnel Entrances - Inner Tunnel Landscape Development …collaborated on the environmental design plans for The Presidio Tunnel Tops.
Partner and Overhoff, long-time friends and colleagues, inspired each other to innovate a proposed masterplan development for the Presidio.
{Presently, The Jacques Overhoff Foundation is working to catalogue Overhoff’s design contributions to The Presidio Tunnel Tops}.

Overhoff’s original design concepts for The Presidio Tunnel Tops were environmentally-friendly and sustainable incorporating natural green walls and transoms to allow natural light to pour into the tunnels entering the Marina and access to Downtown San Francisco. The designs were conceptual, presented for consideration; however, never implemented in the final design.
